I’ve been fascinated by nature and photography since my childhood years in Portugal. I started my photography journey in the days of film, when I used to borrow my father's camera, a robust Nikon SLR. I loved the simplicity of the mechanics and have missed the light weight of the body and lenses!

My favourite photographic genre is Natural History. I am fascinated, in particular by the secret world of insects and their habitats and have developed a strong interest in closeup photography. Birds of prey come next on my favourite creatures list. I am also passionate about conservation and a firm believer that we all have a role to play in the preservation of our wonderful planet.

I am a proud member of the iconic Melbourn & District Photographic Club. I am also a member of the illustrious Royal Photographic Society (RPS), having been awarded their Licentiateship  in 2019 and Associateship in 2021. I have received a Credit  from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) in 2022 and their Distinction in 2023. I was a PAGB Club Photography Competition judge from 2023-2025. In 2026, I received a BPE1 Crown Award from British Photographic Exhibitions, following the acceptance of 25 of my images at national exhibitions. My work has received international recognition.

Thank you for visiting!

Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty,
if only we have the eyes to see them.
